Congratulations, Cinderella Cafarella!

Picture this: A fabulous, entertaining Sunday at Maldon Neighbourhood Centre, May 26, 2024. The air was thick with anticipation as an intimate, invited audience gathered to witness something magical: Cinderella Cafarella. This whimsical creation came to life thanks to talented actor Juliana Cafarella and a wonderful support cast and crew. And it didn’t stop there—Juliana's sister, Jane, sprinkled her creative fairy dust on the script.

The show was a fun-filled 30-minute fairytale romp, with Juliana, supported by Carolyn Palmer, Ron Richardson, Ross Hinckley, and Loise White, taking to the stage to enthrall us all. With Rob Townsend at the sound helm and Ross Hinckley capturing every enchanting moment for the archives on film, Cinderella Cafarella was a production to remember. The journey to this enchanting performance began online, with six months of brainstorming between Juliana and Jeff, before it blossomed into a fully fledged production with rehearsals and a performance at Maldon Neighbourhood Centre hall.

Juliana’s mission was to create a magical world where fairytales collide with reality, and she nailed it. The audience was swept off their feet as Juliana acted, improvised, sang, danced, puppeteered (shout-out to Ella the puppet!), and she invited everyone into her enchanted realm. Following the performance, Juliana said she felt a great sense of achievement — take another bow Juliana, you deserve it!

Finally, Hobo Playhouse extends a huge round of applause and heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this extraordinary project possible! 🌟

Ron, Juliana and Carolyn take a well-deserved bow! Bravo!

All smiles: Juliana and Ron after the show!

Cinderella is aghast as Prince Charming (Ron Richardson) tries to fit the slipper on the foot of a wicked stepsister (played by Loise White).

Sisters: Jane presented Juliana with a card and flowers after the performance.

That's enough rehearsal for today!
